Client Background

Nine Social is a social media production and digital marketing company, headquartered in Singapore with a distributed team from all over the world. With decades of combined experience in advertising and media, it is positioned to bring social influencer marketing to South East Asian markets. With its proprietary platform and network of always ready KOLs, it is designed for lightning fast turnarounds and shockingly precise impact.

Project Role

In the high-velocity world of social influencer marketing, speed is currency. The challenge was to visualize "shockingly precise impact" in a way that felt native to the frantic energy of social feeds.

We were brought in to create new brand identity for Nine Social that would communicate its ability to execute lightning-fast turnarounds without sacrificing quality.

Visual Cohesion

Operating with a distributed team across the globe, Nine Social faced the classic agency dilemma: maintaining a unified front. The new identity needed to serve as a digital flag, rallying remote creatives under a single, cohesive aesthetic that transcended borders and time zones.

Digital-First

Traditional corporate branding rules don't apply to the TikTok generation. We needed to ignore physical constraints and design an identity specifically for the RGB spectrum. The brand had to be flexible enough to overlay on diverse video content yet distinct enough to be instantly recognizable in a crowded Instagram story.

Process

We adopted a 'fast-twitch' design methodology, iterating rapidly to match the pace of the client's industry. The process prioritized motion and adaptability, ensuring every static asset had a clear kinetic potential.

Strategic Alignment

We identified that in the influencer market, precision beats volume. The visual strategy focused on the concept of the 'Bullseye'—targeting the exact right audience with the exact right message. This informed the sharp, geometric language of the identity.

Dynamic Typography

We selected a typeface that possessed both weight and velocity. The '9' isn't just a number; it's a glyph designed to feel like it's in motion. The typographic system uses aggressive scaling and tight tracking to create a sense of urgency and density, mimicking a busy social feed.

Vibrant Palette

To cut through the noise, we abandoned subtle pastels for a high-contrast, electric palette. The colors are chosen not for their print reproducibility, but for their RGB luminescence. They vibrate on screen, capturing attention in the split-second scroll of a user's thumb.

As Nine Social eyes expansion into the broader Southeast Asian market, the identity provides a robust, scalable framework. It is culturally adaptable yet consistently bold, ready to speak to diverse audiences across the region.
